Yet another photo taken with the multiple image filter. This a stone lion at The Gate of Harmonious Interest in Chinatown. The gate is one of my favourite photographic subjects, so I naturally took a photo of it on my kaleidoscope photo tour.
The gate inspires a sense of awe because of the size, bright red colour and amazing details. Architecture like this has the power to inspire us and create a mood, as Alain de Botton writes in The Architecture of Happiness, so I wish architects would quit making square boxes and create inspiring places instead.
